ZOOBO PRIVACY POLICY

The full text of our privacy policy. Please read it carefully before using Zoobo.

Effective Date: October 1, 2026 Version: 1.0

Zoobo ("Zoobo," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, stored, disclosed, and protected when you use the Zoobo mobile application and related services (the "Service"), and describes choices available to you.

Please read this Policy before using the Service. The information processed depends on the features you choose to use and the permissions you grant. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use features that require the relevant processing.

1. FEATURES COVERED BY THIS POLICY

Zoobo is an AI pet travel companion app. Features may include account sign-in, pet or companion selection, profile settings, travel progress based on step counts, maps, pet letters, travel events, diaries, feed posts, travel reports, badges, text/image/voice interactions, shared travel, invitations, subscriptions, coupons, customer support, notifications, sharing, and language settings.

2. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

We collect and use information for the purposes described below, depending on the features you use.

A. Account and sign-in information

This may include your account identifier, sign-in tokens or credentials, Apple sign-in identifier, and information you choose to provide through a supported sign-in method. If phone-number sign-in is offered in your region or version, it may also involve your phone number and verification code. We use this information to create and maintain your account, authenticate you, and protect account security.

B. Profile and preferences

This may include nickname, avatar, selected pet or companion, language, notification preferences, step goals, and other settings. We use it to display your profile, personalize the experience, and remember your preferences.

C. Steps, activity, and travel progress

When you use travel, check-in, badge, statistics, or travel-report features, we may process step counts, relevant motion or activity data, permission status, travel city, date, time zone, travel progress, check-in records, and step goals. On supported devices, this may involve Apple HealthKit, Core Motion, or Android activity-recognition and sensor capabilities, subject to your permissions and device settings. We use this information to record steps, advance virtual travel, display progress, synchronize your experience, and provide related statistics and badges. Background or periodic synchronization may occur where permitted by the operating system and your settings.

Zoobo uses health- or fitness-related information only to provide the step-based travel and related features described in this Policy. We do not use HealthKit information for advertising, marketing, or data mining, and we do not sell it. We do not disclose HealthKit information to third parties for advertising or similar purposes. Access is limited to what is needed for the feature you choose and authorize.

D. Interactions and AI features

When you use pet letters, travel events, diaries, feed posts, or text, image, or voice interactions, we may process your prompts, text, images, audio, video, interaction choices, travel context, and related conversation history. We use this information to generate AI responses and stories, preserve interaction progress, synchronize data, and provide continuity. Content sent to an AI or voice service may be processed by the relevant service provider to return the requested result, as described in the third-party section below.

E. Photos, camera, microphone, feedback, and sharing

When you choose to take or select a photo, upload an image, use voice features, save media, submit feedback, or share content, we process the relevant content and permission status to provide that feature. Zoobo does not intentionally access your clipboard in unrelated contexts.

F. Subscriptions and virtual benefits

When you purchase or use a subscription, coupon, travel ticket, or other benefit, we may process product identifiers, transaction or receipt data, purchase time, subscription status, entitlement records, payment-channel information, and benefit usage records. We use this information to validate purchases, provide benefits, restore purchases, provide support, and prevent fraud. Payments through Apple are also subject to Apple's own processing and policies.

G. Notifications, maps, invitations, and supporting features

Depending on your settings and features used, we may process push-notification tokens, notification preferences, city or route information, invitation codes, shared-travel relationships, map requests, and page-loading information. If you grant location permission and a feature uses it, location-related information may be processed for that feature. Virtual travel primarily uses selected city routes and step counts; real-time location is not intended to be required for the core step-based travel experience.

H. Device, diagnostics, and security information

We may process device model, operating-system and app versions, network status, IP address, crash reports, error logs, request logs, cache status, and necessary local settings to maintain security, prevent cheating or attacks, troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and keep the Service operating reliably.

3. DEVICE PERMISSIONS

Zoobo requests permissions when they are needed for a feature, rather than requiring every permission for every user. You can manage or revoke permissions in your device settings. If you deny or revoke a permission, the related feature may not work.

  • Motion, Fitness, HealthKit, Core Motion, or Android activity recognition: to read authorized step or activity information for step-based travel, check-ins, statistics, and badges.
  • Microphone: to support voice chat or real-time AI voice interactions when you choose to use them.
  • Camera: to take photos or capture images that you choose to submit.
  • Photo library or media access: to select, preview, or save images and videos, depending on the feature.
  • Notifications: to deliver pet letters, travel invitations, service updates, and benefit reminders. Notifications are optional and can be disabled.
  • Location: to support location-related map features when available and authorized.
  • Network access and background tasks: to load content, synchronize travel data, connect to maps or voice services, and perform permitted background synchronization.
  • Haptics or vibration: to provide interaction feedback.

The precise permission names and availability depend on your operating system, device, and app version.

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Zoobo may use platform services, software development kits (SDKs), or service providers to operate particular features. The services actually enabled may vary by platform, region, and app version. We aim to disclose relevant providers in the app and update this Policy when our integrations materially change.

A. Sign in with Apple

May process an Apple-provided identifier, authentication credentials, and any profile information you choose to share, such as a name or email address, to authenticate you.

B. Apple App Store, StoreKit, and In-App Purchase

Used for subscription purchases, purchase restoration, and transaction validation. Apple may process transaction identifiers, product identifiers, purchase history, and subscription status under its own policies.

C. Apple HealthKit and Core Motion

Used, with your authorization, to read step or motion information needed for step-based travel. Zoobo limits its use to the purposes described in this Policy and does not use HealthKit data for advertising or sell it.

D. Android activity recognition, step-count capabilities, and background task services

May be used on supported Android devices to read activity or step information and synchronize travel status, subject to operating-system permissions and settings.

E. Push-notification providers

Zoobo may use the Apple Push Notification service (APNs) and/or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), together with platform or manufacturer push channels where configured for the relevant device or market. These services may process device push tokens, device and operating-system information, network status, and notification delivery or interaction data to deliver notifications.

F. StepFun Step Audio 2 or other configured AI/voice service providers

Used for AI voice interactions. Depending on the feature, audio streams, session identifiers, user or conversation context, and technical quality information may be processed to provide the requested interaction. Do not submit sensitive information in a voice or AI interaction unless you intend to share it for that purpose.

G. Apple Maps, Mapbox, or other configured map providers

Used to display maps, city routes, or map views. Map requests and technical information may be processed by the map provider; location-related information is involved only where applicable to the feature and permissions you grant.

H. System camera, photo-library, media-selection, and sharing functions

Used to take, select, save, or share content at your direction. If you share content to another app, that app's own privacy practices apply after the content is transferred to it.

I. WebView, local storage, caching, and media-loading components

Used to display web content and locally retain necessary settings, login state, and cached media. These components may process page requests, technical information, or local preference and cache data.

J. Zoobo's servers and cloud services

Used to operate accounts, synchronize travel progress, provide AI interactions, validate subscriptions, process feedback, and maintain service security. These services may process the categories of information described in this Policy.

Third-party providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies where applicable. The exact provider list must reflect the SDKs and services enabled in the version of Zoobo that you distribute.

5. HOW WE DISCLOSE INFORMATION

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose or permit processing of information in the following circumstances:

  • To service providers and platform partners as reasonably necessary to provide a feature you request, including hosting, AI and voice processing, maps, notifications, sign-in, and subscription validation.
  • When you direct us to share content or connect with another service.
  • When reasonably necessary to protect users, Zoobo, the public, or the security and integrity of the Service.
  • When required by valid legal process or an applicable legal obligation.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable law.

We seek to limit information shared with service providers to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. We do not disclose HealthKit information to third parties for advertising or similar purposes.

6. STORAGE, RETENTION, AND SECURITY

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account and travel progress, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, and meet applicable obligations. Retention periods vary by information type and purpose. When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete it or de-identify it, subject to legal, security, backup, and dispute-resolution requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, which may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit where supported, logging, restricted access, and backups. No method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Information may be processed or stored in the locations used by Zoobo and its service providers. Where cross-border processing is subject to legal requirements, we will take the steps required by applicable law, as described in the next section.

7. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Zoobo operates cloud services that may process information across regions. As a result, your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries or regions other than the country or region in which you reside, including by our service providers.

Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take appropriate safeguards and rely on legally recognized transfer mechanisms as required by applicable law, which may include the use of standard contractual clauses, transfer to jurisdictions recognized as providing an adequate level of protection, or obtaining your consent. We also require service providers to protect information consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

You may contact us using the details in Section 11 if you would like more information about the safeguards we use for international transfers.

8. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may be able to:

  • Access or correct profile information and settings.
  • Revoke device permissions or turn off notifications.
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information.
  • Request account deletion.
  • Request data portability, so that you can receive the personal information you provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or ask us to transmit it to another controller where technically feasible.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Ask questions or submit a privacy complaint.

You can manage some settings directly in the app or your device settings. For other requests, contact dingchuan_sv@163.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within a reasonable period and in any timeframe required by applicable law. Deleting your account may remove access to travel progress or other account-associated benefits, subject to applicable requirements and the rules of the relevant purchase channel.

9. CHILDREN AND AGE REQUIREMENTS

Zoobo is intended for users aged 16 and older. If the law in your location requires a higher minimum age or parental consent, those requirements apply. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable requirements, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Service, features, SDKs, data practices, or legal requirements. We will publish the revised Policy in the app or another appropriate location and provide notice of material changes where appropriate or required. The "Effective Date" above indicates when the current version takes effect.
